SCG is based on land owned by Rossendale BC. Previously the base for the parks department, we have 4 large greenhouses, a workshop, a converted polytunnel and offices. Our growing spaces are tended by a large team of committed volunteers who produce organically grown food for our café…
The Stables Cafe
Open all year round, The Stables Café is situated next to the Greenhouses. Chef and manager, Malcolm Clark has developed a delicious seasonal menu and daily home cooked specials using ingredients grown at the Greenhouses. Our volunteers also bake up tasty cakes and treats.
How we help
The core ethos for all project work is to provide holistic support for individuals in our community who are facing difficulties with their mental, emotional or physical well-being. We also provide advice and guidance in welfare, finance and debt. All the services we provide are open access, free of charge and person centered.
Our partners provide everything from sign posting to support and direct service delivery.
We also get lots of support from local housing providers,
voluntary sector groups, well being social prescribing organisations,
G.P.s, and JobCenter sign post participants into our projects.
